MVP rapid playback and stutter

My MVP just started to play back all shows in a near fast forward speed with a little stutter every few seconds. The sound appears to be OK but the video is really going crazy.

I used it last night with no issue but tonight, I had to reboot it when I wanted to use it and it started the FF/stutter during playback.

Any ideas? I am thinking of upgrading to 4.1.5 to see if that helps, but I can't figure what caused this "magical" change .

OK I left the MVP unplugged for around 10 minutes and then plugged it back in. No stuttering or FF motion. Crazy...

Has anyone seen this or is everyone using one of the beta releases? I still may upgrade to a beta if the problem comes back.

Other than having to reboot the MVP every couple of days, I have had no real trouble until now.

I've had the exact same problem with the latest beta 4.1.5 yesterday. MVP had to stay upluged for about 15 min in order to get back to normal.

Just experienced what sounds like the same thing

I get sort of a surging effect where it plays and the video pauses but the audio keeps going and then the video surges to get back on track. I figured it was something with the server and rebooted it and defragged the drives but the problem didn't go away. The same files also played fine off the server. I also unplugged the MVP for 30 seconds or so and still didnt fix it. Maybe I'll try unpluggin it for a little longer?

Using latest sage release 4.1. Maybe I'll try one of the betas.

Just to confirm I am seeing the same issue. The video freezes for about half a second, then hurries to catch up with the audio (which never has a glitch).

Is that what you guys are seeing?

Has there been any fix for this?

mangriotis,

Yes I saw this problem once with release 4.1.3

My initial fix was to unplug the MVP for approx 10 min (YMMV).

I am now running 4.1.6 and have not seen the issue again.

My solution to this was to unplug the mvp, revoke the the ip address for the mvp in my router, and then plug the mvp in again. This will assign it a new ip address (with DHCP). This only has happened to me a couple of times.

Finally got mine working correctly. I unplugged the MVP for a day and then plugged it back in. Then the interface wouldn't load. It would get an IP and then try to load sage but I only got a blank screen.

So I then deleted the MVP files in the Client folder and tried again. All fixed now. Of course I had to setup the STV and key commands again.
