Comfigure green button on the Hauppauge remote to put MVP into sleep mode?

I was wondering if it was possible to configure the green power button on the MVP remote to the pre-4.1.5 functionality, ie. put the MVP into sleep mode instead of turning it off. All my 3 MVPs are used quite often, and it was so much more convenient just have to bring them out of sleep mode. I took a look everywhere but I couldn't find anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have wished for the same thing as well. The way I'm putting it to sleep right now is hitting the "Standby" main menu option, and trying not to use the green power button.

I agree. It is funny, people hate the red light and want to completely power down. I hate the boot up time and could care less about the red light. We definitely need an option setting to determine what the green button does.

Yeah, it seems like people are split half-half on this issue... some want it completely powered down, some want it always on but in sleep mode. An option should definitely be made for this.

My wish is the green botton just turned off the outputs and turned the red light off like Matt's MVP Client did. I have an audio/video autoswitch so I don't have to get up and press a button to select between DVD and MVP. My TV only has one input.

Exactly!! I agree competely. Matt's plugin had the best of both worlds. I am also on of the 'red light haters' , but i also hate the long boot times. Matt's plugin worked great, it only swithed off the outputs and red light. Another good thing about that was that my tv doesn't always switch to the MVP connection because it thinks it is on.
It would be good to have this behaviour selectable in the properties file. Some want it to reboot, some others just want the red light off. Let everybody choose for themselves

Hi,

I too would like my mvp to just sleep, not power down.

I am using sageMCE16x9 which allows you to have a "power" button on the main UI page. The button, when selected, allows you to either power down or just go to sleep. I just select sleep (the default choice) and it works like a charm.

HTH
