Severe audio dropouts on Server

I am running the latest released version, but this problem has been around since HD has been supported. I am only running HD at this point and this probem is unique to HD playback. I think it is more of a hardware configuration issue than a Sage software issue. Playback is fine on the server until one of the clients is in use playing back some other programming. Playback on the client is fine but on the server there are audio dropouts every few seconds. Video playback is smooth. I have tried various filters and renders with no effect. Does anyone have any ideas as to how this problem could be fixed?

Edit: I now have a solution but it is way less than optimal. Apparently, this is some function of AC3Filter. If I turn off the AC3 passthrough then I get a digital stereo signal (I have AC3Filter use PLII for this signal). This does not studder at all but I loose the 5.1 signal. Much better but still looking for a more optimal solution. Any help would be appreciated.
