Is there a way to shutdown/suspend the computer with the remote?

Is there a way to shutdown a computer from the remote control? I know of Nielm's method to shut down Sage, but I haven't found a way to turn off the computer. FWIW, I have Girder so I could use it to translate a button command to another message or messages.

Thanks,
Steve

Doing a little searching for shutdown, remote, etc, shows this shutdown utility, among other possibilities.

There is also info for waking the PC via remote + USB-UIRT.
