Network Encoding?

I am trying to setup firewire but I am running into a problem that I think just is a network encoding problem.

I was going through the setup instructions on using firewire and when I got to the spot where you edit the sage props file I got confused.

I at first saw a line "mmc/encoders/12345/encoding_host=" (12345 of course is a ficional number) and I tried to just edit that directly instead of copying it along with all the other tuner info to create the firewire one. Since I couldn't get that to work I went ahead and just deleled the Sage props file.

I reread everything and realized I needed to copy it and edit it and all of that.

But now when I go into the props file I do not see anything with mmc/encoders/12345/encoding_host=" I do not see any lines that have ..."encoding_host="

So I think this is an issue with network incoding and not the Firewire.

Any ideas?

Hmmm... DualTV eh? Are you a beta tester? I've been wondering if this would be supported in Sage when it's released...

Nope, this box only has 1 tuner in it.

Actually I am just using MCE for firewire recording, basically it works right out of the box. The only downside is that you can't watch Live TV but you can set it to record and then watch the recording while it is still recording.
