Sage always tunes channel?

I have noticed that Sage is tuning channels to the current channel anytime there is a change in the show within the guide. (Hope that makes sense)

Is there a way to tell Sage not to tune to the same channel it is already on?

Thanks,

B

Thought that was only for recording...

I'll give it a whirl.

Thanks,

It is only for recording, but watching Live TV is recording. It is a recorded show so that you can pause/rew/ff. Then, when the next show comes on, it deletes the old show and records the new show.

Mine is/was already set to "No" Still tunes channel at start of every program. This is really noticeable on the HD channels where it takes a little bit longer to tune them in. Anyone else?

Thanks,

B

What exactly do you mean by "tune the channel"? The setting that ke6guj mentioned is used when you have an external tuner (cable converter box, for example), but your comment about tuning HD channels, which are only OTA via antenna in SageTV using the card in your sig lines, indicates that you aren't talking about the use of an external box. Are your 500s connected to anallog cable or boxes?

For every show transition for live TV, it will close the recording file for the current show & then start a new recording for the next show. If this is the delay you mean, then there is no way to completely turn that off.

What my setup does is tune to the channel that you were watching as a recording.

After watching a recording, press stop or delete file and sage will tune to the channel that the recording came from.
Not sure is this is the same thing.

Everything is cable/ota antenna in. No STBs involved. At every change in the program guide the channel is retuned to the same channel.

Thanks!
