3rd VBOX USB HD Tuner = Bad :(

Well,

I got my 3rd USB HD TUner and started playing with it and it looked good for a few minutes and then all 3 tuners stopped recording an made SageTV unresponsive...2 SD Tuners continue to write to disk, but I am not sure if it is actually recording good video as SageTV refuses to play any files or bring up the program guide. I am hoping that the vidoe is actually good, but right now I am waiting for arrested development to finish before stopping SageTV.

At this point I am kind of hoping it is a problem with the new tuner. I actually rebooted several times while trying stuff and the last permutation I tried was one old tuner and the new tuner and the problem is the same. I am hoping that if I unplug the new tuner and reboot the pc that everything will be good again with my original two tuners that have been working really well for over week.

I will try several different combinations, but at this point my gut feeling is that it is a problem with the new tuner and not with SageTV. I am hoping it was just back luck on getting a defective unit.

John

Welll I decided to do a complete uninstall of SageTV and do a clean install and do some testing with a bare bones freshly configured version without my wiz.bin and properites. After heavy testing all day it looks like it may have been in need of frech properties file for a while. After I was sure it all worked I added my old directories and imports back in and everything seems to be working really well.

Hoefylly it will continue to work well.
