Tuner Card Location

There are 2 - Hauppauge 150's and 1 - 500 in my system. I'm using an Abit AI7 mb with one AGP and 5 PCI slots. While trying various things to get a new ATI X1600 Pro video card to work, I removed all but one tuner card. When it finally started to work I plugged in all the cards, and noticed "herringbone" interference on certain channels.

With the old video card, the tuner cards were plugged into slots 1, 2, & 3, slot 1 being closest to the AGP slot. With the new card, I used slots 3, 4, & 5 and that's when I noticed the problem. Checked all the obvious stuff, cable connections, open shields, etc. All looked ok. Started moving tuner cards around and found the problem disappeared with the cards in slots 2, 3, 4. Anytime I used slot 5 back came the interference.

Anyone else had this sort of problem ? Or is my slot 5 "cursed" ?
