PVR-150MCE Choppy audio on certain channels

I am having a problem where I have choppy audio on US NTSC channel 12. It may also happen on maybe one other channel but 12 is consistently bad. At first I thought it was a glitch with MVP but when I play the file on the computer I get the same results. The recorded file has choppy audio. I've tried editing the registry to manually fine tune that channel. That didn't help. The picture seems great so I don't think signal is an issue. Anyone else having this problem?

Any suggestions?
