It has to be enabled in the ini file. I think the wiki discusses how to turn it on in the tuning procedure.

.edl stvi

Since it appears that the .edl .stvi has been fixed, is there a version I should be using.. should I go back to build 46? Which version is the most recent that wasn't a work-a-round for that .stvi bug?

I have done that and it doesn't work either. So can someone tell me how to get a COMSKIP STVI working with .TS recorded files ? I need it bad !!!!!

Some one Help Me
Does anyone in this forum have any suggestions about how to get the comskip STVI working with .TS files short of switching back to .MPG files?

This .csv file comtains enought info for me to tune or debug the comskip settings.
No need to mail me a .mpg file

Comskip and SageTVClient

Is there an STVi for SageTVClient? I have this working fine on my server, but the STVi I used for it shows the setup for it on my client, but it doesn't show up on the popup osd or in the progress bar.

It works on the client and the server. You'll have to setup mapped drives or UNC paths though. It is discussed here and there are numerous other threads about it as well.

I have been using 79.52 for a few days with no problem.

Does anybody know if you can set processor affinity and priority in the INI file? I force Sage to run on one processor and would like to force Comskip to the other.

Blade,

Download build 52 again and try again.
There was a minor initial hickup.

Affinity Setting

I suppose I can use process.exe in another dirmon setup to do it. If I keep the processes on separate processors it keeps my sage performance up - comskip can then use as much CPU resources on one CPU as it wants and Sage won't get bogged down. When I just had one encoder card it wasn't a problem, but now that I have three, Comskip runs three times as often. I hate commercials and LOVE Comskip. Thanks!

I recently installed this- thanks so much- it is sweet! I wish I had dont this a while ago....

Anyways, I have a problem when I start to watch a show that is being recorded. When it starts, I can watch the show, and it will skip through the commercials like it should. However, it seems to stop marking the show after I start to watch it. Is there a way to allow it to continue to mark the commercials after I have started to watch.

Thanks-

Mike

It already does this. I have it installed on two clients and it works perfectly on both of them. The only thing I can think of is maybe you don't have enough free cpu cycles to keep up with processing live TV during play back? Your cpu would have to really be pushed for this to happen though because live TV requires very little power to keep up with.
