Exclamation More shortcuts

So, why hasnt sage released some .pdf file with all the keyboard shortcuts? or put it in the manual?

I'm looking for shortcuts for the following:
My TV
Sage Recordings
My Videos
My Music
My Weather (SageMC)
Prev. Channel
and Back? not "Exit"
an aspect ratio toggle?

Alot of these are on the hauppauge irremote config, but I use the config that using the messenger service...
I also downloaded the .xls that someone else had made, and I can't find these commands in that either...

That's not a bad idea. If I had thought of adding such a list, I probably would have added it around p. 192 for the v4.1 PDF manual. I would try to list all available commands, their default keystrokes, their event codes for sending commands via Windows messages, and a short description of what each command does.

Athfar, I'm confused, did you not get the reference that Opus made above? Indirectly, he said that what you requested is already available.

See page 192 of the 4.1 version of the SageTV manual.

Yeah, I got a PM from him... I didn't get the *hint* because honestly he sounded like he felt it should between pages "192 and whatever"

I had searched through the manual for "Keyboard Shortcuts" or something and I couldn't find it... I will check again.

Thanks

Well, thats great... but I have one problem... I use something called iMON and I am not sure how to get it to send these "messages" to sagetv in order to use all the functions that I want...

Ideally I would just set them all the KB shortcuts... but is there anyone here that can tell me how to set this up?

About the only thing I can think of is just setting up Macros with it...

iMon did not support sendmessage the last time I checked. If you want to use sendmessage, you might have some luck with Girder (or maybe HIP)? Personally, I'd probably just map them to key presses, but of course, SageTV needs to be in focus in order for them to work, while with sendmessage, it does not.

Well... this is true, but I have been setting keyboard shortcuts with iMON, which works out OK...

Anyway. I have switched back to the Hauppauge ir receiver for most of my keys, but yea limiting myself to only 45 buttons... well I can't do it =P

I am having some issues though

Code:
TEXT={findwnd(SageApp,SageWin)}{SendMsg(1258,0,24)}
SUBCC={ctrl}e
From the manual 1258,0,24 is for DVD playback?

I attached my irremote.ini ... but I cant get either of those commands to work... and i've tried restarting the ir.exe and sage...

Also, using SageMC is there a way to go directly to "My Weather" ? I would like to map that on my remote as well...

and once more... there is no option in the Manual for an Aspect Ratio "Toggle" it just seems like a waste to program two buttons (or 4) for each aspect ratio

Ok, ignore the previous post... It turns out that im guessing the autoplay function is freaking out and like making the cd drive inoperable...

Anyone know of a solution for this? I cant do anything with the dvd drive after I use this software to eject it and put something in and then return it...

I have tried using a tool called CD Eject Tool and the iMon software has a built in eject function...

I'll try and find a more definate reason for why its doing this and post another thread.

Command #24 is Info; the DVD command is 74.

Ctrl+E defaults to volume down, but it may be whatever else you set it to be.

It can be done ... I easily go to Weather wit a press of a button using my Firefly Remote and Girder ...

But, it depends on your remote setup ...

Well, how are you programming it? Is it a macro? or what? The only thing I can think of is creating a macro (which I can do with either my ir software or remote) to click menu, hit down however man times, and hit enter.... Which seems pretty inefficient.

Exactly ... Girder let's you easily create 'MultiGroups" (macros) ... by setting one up using a few commands in it like ...

Home > Page Up > Page Up > Down > Down > Select Page Up > Page Up > Down > Select

Of course if you use Nielm's Dynamic Menus and really customize them, then you just modify the example above accordingly ... so it really depends on where you place Weather.

After that, you just select the button on you want to program for Weather on your remote and using girder you tell it to "Learn Event"

It's really more simple than it sounds. Do one and you will be customizing your remote to do all kinds of tricks with Sage ...

As you can tell I really like it a lot ... It may sound inefficient, but if the choice is that or nothing, I'll take it. Plus since I developed my own menu structure, I like having that the flexibility ...

T.

Just seems like it would take it a while to run a macro that hits that many buttons.

Doesn't quite help with the ability to toggle through aspect ratios either... I guess I will just program it to goto the menu item with a ... eh macro.
