MVP video playback not centred on the screen

When playback video using the mvp the picture is shifted slightly to the left, cutting off a few cm of the picture in the left side and leaving a black vertical bar in the right side of the screen. I’ve had this issue with all the 4.1.x versions. Now that other major issues seems to have been solved this problem is becoming a bit more annoying.

When using the original Hauppauge software the picture is centred perfectly in the middle of the screen.

I’ve no clue of what to do since the aspect ratio is not working with the mvp. I wonder if it has something to do with the pal settings Sage are using.

Others with the same problem?

My picture is defintely offcenter as well. I don't see a black bar to the right but my tv uses a lot of overscan and may compensate for it.

Incidentally, have you noticed when the sage "is loading" screen is active on the mvp a large black bar at the bottom of the screen and a smaller one to the right? I can understand the one at the bottom but not the one on the right (NTSC 720 x480 vs Pal 720 x 576). Thought it might be relevant.

How stable do you find your pal mvp? I seem to be constantly having issues with mine ...

Same thing for me with the “is loading” screen shifted towards the upper left corner.

So far my mvp seems relativly stable but I have had a few problems with green and pink screen when trying to playback after first boot up. A mvp-reboot solved it so far.

Also, I’ve had problems connecting to the internet a few times after mvp boot up or reboot. It seems that the mvp boot process sometimes mess up my network settings. Haven’t looked into it yet and maybe it’s just a coincidence. But strange it is.

Ah okay. Good to hear you're got a reasonably stable set up. There still hope for me!

My television is a relatively old model 4:3 and even though it still works great it doesn’t have the overscan and aspect facilities that a new tv has.

I'm wondering if that's the reason why nobody else apparently has noticed this problem.

Not ony is my picture off center it also seems to be enlarged, so you have alot of the picture missing. I also have the same Problem with my MVPs when "sage is loading". I have tired this on 3 TVs and all have the same problem.

I have 2 MVP's and set properly with overscan settings, but the picture on both is shifted to the left.
The menus and such are fine, but when watching a video both MVPs play a black bar on the right side.

Thought it was just me, wife has complained....ect
hope it gets fixed

Same here, guess it's a PAL thing.

I can live with it, but it is noticable.

This issue seems to be gone with the latest version 5.0.2

Can't see from the notes what you have done - but thanks anyway

Yupp, it's gone. I provided them screenshots, and it was fixed within a few days.
