execute a command when Sage finished recording?

Hi,

I'm looking for a way to execute a command (to close another program) when Sage is done recording.

Is there any way to do that within Sage? I have girder, but I don't know if it can listen to a Sage recording event.

Thanks.
Dan

You may want to look into a program called Dirmon. http://www.dragonglobal.org/dirmon.htm here is a thread about the new version http://forums.sagetv.com/forums/showthread.php?t=16318

You should be able to use that to monitor the folder where your recordings are stored and have it call up a batch file when the recording is done. In the batch file you can use the TASKKILL command to close whatever program you need.
For example TASKKILL /F /IM winword.exe /T would close Word and any process started by it.

This might not be exactly what you need but maybe it will help.

jagee23 - Thanks for the suggestion. This looks like it might work for me.
