Unhappy Bought new Hauppauge remote, now having problems

My 2 year old has a habit of sliding the remote accross the carpet and eventually it rubbed the numbering right off of the remote that came with my hauppauge 150 card. I ordered another and got the new 45 button remote. Ever since I've been having problems. I've looked through the forums and tried many things that people have suggested but I still seem to lose focus? I think. Here's what I'm using

ir32_245_22350.exe - from hauppauge website
basic_irremote-ini_New_Remote.zip - from OPUS4's thread Instructions for extending irremote.ini

The problem I'm having is that when I sleep the tv over night and come back to it in the morning, the remote doesn't work correctly. It will only unsleep if I hit the green power button twice, and then to sleep again I have to hit the green button twice again. All of the other buttons dont respond. To get the remote working again I have to use my keyboard to exit fullscreen sage, then sleep it to the taskbar. then I can pick up the remote and use the green power button to wake it and put it back to full screen. Once I do that the remote works fine again untill the next morning it starts all over again.

Any suggestions? the only app I use the remote for is Sage and I only use the remote in sage untill it craps out on me and forces me to use the keyboard.

Any help would be appreciated.

First: if you are using SageTV in full screen mode & sleeping it in screen saver mode instead of in the system tray, then you may be better off just using the built-in Hauppauge remote support the next time you install an update. (Don't forget to go to Detailed Setup -> Commands to set the remote that you are using after that.)

For now: see around this post (somewhere around there) regarding making a change in the [SageTV] section of irremote.ini for when the screen saver is used when SageTV is put to sleep.
