Wierd networking issue

Well -- I had to reboot my router this morning for other reasons, while I had a sage recorder instance recording on another system. Should have caused no problems whatsoever -- given I am on a simple flat network. Immediately I began having serious pause and general problems on the server and the client that was running on the same system as sage recorder. The problems immediately led me (from past experience) to look at communication problems between the recorder and the server. Non functioning tuners in sage often cause intermittent pauses... Long story of troubleshooting short -- I needed to reboot my router again to have the server and the recorder system communicate properly again. This should not have been the case since they are on the same subnet... Is there some communication outside the network that happens in these latest betas when sage starts up that could cause this? Either license checks or perhaps TV listings?
