Help with setup

I just received the SageTV bundle with the AverTV HD MCE A180 and need to know how to set it up with Dish Network. The software is installed properly but I don't get a signal except what the receiver is tuned to. Is there anyone out there that is using SageTV with the Dish Network HD receiver? I thought I could set it up to record different programs at different times. If I use the guide it shows no signal except for the channel the receiver is tuned to. Help if you can.

When using an external tuner, you have to provide some way for SageTV to be able to change the channel on the tuner box -- usually either an IR blaster or serial cable.

(You will only be recording HD via OTA signals, though. Not sure if you knew that.)
