Volume changes during playback

I am having a problem with audio occasionally changing during playback. The volume will lower for a couple of seconds while watching a recorded show or livetv. Then it will return to normal. This happens on a client and on an MVP media extender. Can anyone suggest a solution or what the problem might be?

Thanks!

Does anyone else notice this ever? I want to know if this is specific to my setup or cable boxes or if its something in Sage that's doing this. Any ideas?

I have never had this happen in the middle of playback like you are describing. Have you ever noticed this when you watch the item directly off your cable system, in other words taking SageTV out of the loop and running the cable straight to the TV?
