Adding Place Shifter Users

Hello,

I just loaded the latest beta verison 4.1.9. On an attempt to add a new user for the place shifter ...

I can input a user name... but the window does not accept my ENTER key. I am having to hit the ESC key to close the window and as a result I can not add any users.

Please help!!!!

As a test, I just installed 4.1.9 and added a new placeshifter user. My system took the enter key. I do not know why yours doesn't. Sorry

You are still using the default unchanged SageTV3.XML file as your STV?

What happens if you go to Detailed Setup -> Commands -> Show Command, then press the Enter key? What command does it say the key is assigned to?

That explains it -- for some reason, your Enter key has been changed to the Custom1 command. Use the Commands -> Link Command options to re-assign it to the Select command... or see what key(s) are assigned to Select.

BTW: How are you selecting buttons now? Mouse? remote?

Initially nothing was assigned to the Select Key ... it was blank.
I have since corrected the problem.

And once again I am a happy tester....

( I had been using the mouse to select - for some strange reason my remote is not working . I'll try and reload the hauppauge remote software)

Do you need to reload the remote software, or merely restart it?

I had to reload the software ... I restarted the Ir software as well as rebooted the machine. Nothing happened until I reloaded the software..
