Placeshifting WMA Lossless
I mentioned this on another unrelated thread but using 0.9 I have not been able placeshift WMA lossless files. Another user indicated that if he waited several minutes then playback started. In my case, I waited 10 minutes and still had no playback. What are other's experiences?

Please send the logs from the server as well as the Placeshifter to betatest at sagetv.com. In our testing this was working.
To get logs on SageTV set the property debug_logging=TRUE and for the Placeshifter launch it using the Java command line: java -cp MiniClient.java sage.miniclient.MiniClient

Will do just as soon as I can. If you get a chance, please check the placeshifter and HD thread. I found a reasonable solution but (at least for me) but it lead to a potential feature request. Edit: Jeff, I assume that it matters what my current directory is when I launch "java -cp MiniClient.java sage.miniclient.MiniClient". Please let me know. Bump.
Narflex I am ready to test the problem. Placeshifter is a great addition and well worth the price. As soon as this is fixed(or more likely we determine where I screwed up), it will be buying at least 1 license |

Anyone have an update on this issue? Is it working fine for everyone else? One instresing note, and this is also true for sever and client software, .wma file show up in sage with their full paths listed as the title (and not just the name of the song as with .mp3 files). I don't know if it is related but just thought I would mention it. I am still waiting on an answer from Narflex on testing - see post above.

I was the one that said I had to wait a minute or so before the songs would start to play. Well....that's true...locally. I tried it at work today and no sound. I will try to turn on debugging later tonight. All of my videos work fine.

Any update on this. If you are still having problems then I will submit a bug report. Anyone else with this problem? |

It still does not work for me at work, but it works locally on my network at home. I haven't had time to submit a bug report. Does anyone have this working non-locally? |

dadams,
I recently converted to WMA lossly and this is now working. I would still like to not need yet a third library of songs to maintain (WMA lossless for archive, WMA lossly for Sage, AAC for IPod). Have you noticed that the song titles list the entire path from the root directory instead of just the song? This is true for me only with WMA songs. MP3's only list the song title. If so, maybe this is a bug also. I do not recall seeing this in earlier versions. |
