No video playback with MVP

I installed MVP client for SageTV and get the menue screen on the TV and on the PC. I got two problems:

1. I cannot play video files (MPEG2). When I select one to play, nothing happens. With pictures, no problem, they show correctly. I only have this when I use the Sage client as started by "startMCPclient.cmd". In normal mode SageTV plays the video's correctly.

2. I want to use MVP client in conjunction with the MyTheatreSageTV network plugin to enable support for a Hauppauge DEC3000s DVB-s. I have this running with a normal SageTV. However when I start the MVPclient Sageclient reports that no Video capture device can be found.

Because I am not shure if the last problem is a MVP or a MTSageTV plugin issue I posted this also in the MTSage plugin thread.

How are you trying to use the MVP, btw? The reference to installing the MVP client sounds like you are uins Matt's plugin.

If you are trying to use the built-in MVP support, don't use that plugin and make sure no other MVP software is running. Among other things, make sure these ports are open in your firewall.

I was first unaware of the build-in MVP in ST4+.
I am concentrating on the build in MVP function for now. Thanks
