Ocassionaly get "No Signal" and Errors on my PVR_USB's

I used to run 2.2 upstairs with 3 PVR usb2's.

Just recently I

1. ugraded to 4.1.8
2. Moved the disks/ encoders to a different machine
3. installed the latest PVR_USB2 drivers.
4. added a DVICO Fusion 5 Lite.

Now ocassionaly I get an "error setting up compression" or somehting like that and I get the "No Signal" on the screen. Has anyone else seen this or something like that?

I only seem to have this happen on the PVR_USB2 encoder #2 and #3. The 1st PVR_USB2 encoder has happened on it yet.. (and the Fusion is fine)

Any thoughts? I'd like to know whether or not it's
1. Sage
2. The driver
3. The USB encoders
4. The Computer.

I think 3 is out since it seems to follow the usb channel.. As in I switched encoders and #2 and #3 still exhibit this behavior.

Help!! I'm missing shows!!

Jim

Ok.. I'm still bothered by this issue..

It seems to be power releated.. When I turn my lights off in the next room I somtimes here the sound on the computer you get when you plug and unplug a usb device.

Now the tuners and computer are all behind a battery backup.

I'm not sure what to do?

I'll have to check, but I think the lights and the computer are on the same circuit. maybe I'll try and extension cord are try plugging the computer and tuners in a different circuit than the flourescent light in my office..

Has anyone else ever heard of this?

Jim
