4.1.9 won't boot on MVP

4.1.9 seems to work fine on my server, but I can't get it to load on my two MVPs. Both hang at the Sage splash screen, "The Sage TV Media Center is booting up…Please wait…” 4.1.7 and 4.1.8 worked fine. Have sent a log file to betatest at sagetv.com. Thought I would drop a note here as well and see if anyone has encountered (better yet, overcome) the same problem.

obvious trouble shooting is to make sure Media Extender server is ON. Check firewall settings. And maybe backup sage.properties file and run Sagetv and set it up again.

also try deleting your clients folder and restart the server and see if that helps (backup first though!)

Service or App?

I normally run only the SageTV service. When I upgraded to 4.1.19, my MVP wouldn't boot until I launched the SageTV executable (from a session) for the first time...

FWIW, I tried running the service as the System Account *and* as a local administrator - with the same result...

The only thing that fixed my problem was launching the app...

Thanks - I think I tried at least some of these steps - checked the firewall settings, checked that MVP server was on. Luckily I had a full backup of 4.1.8 and that works fine. I will try to find some time over the weekend to troubleshoot more, unless of course a new beta comes out!
