Has anyone had experience with OpenAFS? (a distributed filesystem)

Hello,

I was curious if anyone in the Sage community had experimented with OpenAFS for their storage needs?

Currently I am playing with a Gentoo install on an old Motherboard, an Abit AT7Max with a Athlon 2400 XP+ and 1 GB DDR 333, and was stumbling around trying to figure which direction to go

The motherboard has two IDE channels (4 hard disks) and 4 IDE channels raid (8 hard disks) and so far I've been thinking of mirroring two 120 GB hard disks in raid 1 for the root and boot file systems (so I can actually play a little in Gentoo) and then adding 250GB hard disks in raid 6 using ReiserFS as the filesystem.

Would anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks for your time,

Bobby
