Hi,
I would like to kick girder away too...BUT:
My STOP botton on my MCE 2005 remote does not work... any ideas???
Also, I wanted to add "Skip Fwd #2" & "Skip Bkwd #2" to the button on the remote - but SageTV does not recognize any botton on the command linking menu...What's wrong?

Thanks.
Oren.

actually.. the mvp works if the port is set to the default 31099 but not if you try to set a unique port for placeshifter purposes.

perhaps they can can two separate settings -placeshifter port and mvp port..

ATI Remote Wonder plug in no longer works

Nielm's ATI Remote Wonder plugin has stopped working correctly. All the Sage specific keys no longer work.

You can't set the ports independently because they're both the same server. The best way to set a unique port for placeshifting is to do it on your router/firewall where you setup NAT.

6. Added EPG Data Soruce subproperty of disable_plugin which can be set to true to allow use of the EPG Plugin on some sources and not on others.

I also cannot get this to work.

In Properties File I have

epg/epg_import_plugin=xmltv.XMLTVImportPlugin

I have 2 Sources that I want to set up this way.

1. Local Cable (Sage Internal)
2. DishNetwork (XMLTV)

It seems to ignore the epg_data_sources/1581635/disable_plugin=true

I tried adding this to my properties file but always defaults to the EPG plugin when I select an EPG souce.

When I add a new source disable_plugin=false is added to the epg_data_sources, but how to you add a NON plugin souce after you have set epg/epg_import_plugin=xmltv.XMLTVImportPlugin??

I dont think im doing this out of sequence if there is a speacial sequence please let me know.

THanks

Technazz

I posted a bug report about the skip buttons duplicating the fwd functionality. Be better to do a long skip.

Didn't notice the stop problem as I never use it.

Good work though guys, just a little tweaking so we can assign them in the link area would be even better

Placeshifter Fullscreen.....FOREVER

I am obviously missing something. Using Placeshifter...How the heck do I get out of full screen once I am in it?

I am just having to hit the keyboard START key and closing placeshifter. This can't be the intended way.

Anyone?

TIA

Nope, the option is missing from right-click menu and the mouse icons aren't there. I had to quit too...but better than NO fullscreen!

Toggle fullscreen just like the regular client, ctrl-shift-f. Better memorize those keyboard controls, I do use those all the time on my laptop (regular client).

Thanks! I usually use the right-click and toggle full screen or I use the menu option with the client interface. I guess since it is based on the extender interface, it has not got either of those options...I'll make a suggestion to SageTV to include them if possible.
Thanks again!

Which property do we change to specify the alternate port for placeshifting?
How do you specify in the placeshifter client (haven't tested yet)
Thanks!

DVD sub menu navigation with 3D Accel/VMR 9 is still flakey. Main screens always seem to work (cursor moves once per click), but screens such as "Scenes", "Setup", etc.. are hit or miss. On this build however, if I hit an arrow key 3 or 4 times, it'll finally move...sometimes.

*HOWEVER*: The hockey game recording problem seems to be fixed. The 2 1/2hr + 15 min padding recorded and played fine. FF and RW worked just like they're supposed to. So unless 12Mb/s recording was the cause (I switched to DVD Std so I could upload), I'd call that fixed. Pretty happy so far.

Somewhere in the last beta thread, this server property was mentioned: extender_and_placeshifter_server_port

Based on the release note...
Quote:
12. Added support for using an alternate port for connecting with the Placeshifter by specifying it for the server address.
...I changed the above port & then added a new server in the "SageTV Placeshifter Servers Manager", specifying the address of IP:port. That connection worked for the new port number. I don't know if an alternate port can be used with a Locator ID instead of an IP address.

For those using the Firefly remote (or other remote software that uses a programs class name to identify a media app) be aware that version 4.1.10 changed it's class name to 'sage.ak' so you will have to adjust that in your remote's software properties otherwise it won't send the correct keystrokes to Sage.
