SAGE DB corrupt, programs missing

I just noticed that ALL of my previously recorded programs a not showing up within SAGE or within SAGE Web. I have three Content directories and all three have the media files, but they are no longer showing up in SAGE under Recorded programs. I have done nothing to my server, no patches, changes or anything, but yet they are gone.

My questions are, how do I verify the DB? Is there any way to reindex the Sage DB rather than importing the media in the import directory?

I hope to find the root cause, as I have alot of content saved, and do not want to risk further losses.

Any help is appreciated

First, check to see if your WIZ.BIN and WIZ.BAK are radically different in size. If so (and .BAK is bigger), copy the .BAK file to a safe place.

Now try stopping Sage and the sage service (if you use Service mode), rename WIZ.BIN to something (i.e. WIZ.BAD) then copy your WIZ.BAK to WIZ.BIN. Restart Sage and see if things are better.

If WIZ.BIN is corrupt, and you don't have a good WIZ.BAK or other backup, then you are SOL. You've just run head-first into the worst part of Sage.

On the positive side, your recordings don't seem to have been deleted. Check the Imported Video and you should see everything (assuming your drives are mapped in sage). But you won't have the program information that went with them.

Did the Wiz.bin thing by renaming the current pulling in a .bak as the current and now have my old programs in the db......But now the current EPG is gone and I have added new channels to try to get the EPG to update, but no luck there.

I am at a loss as where to go next, why did it corrupt, and how to get back to a usable state.

Give it time. The EPG should eventually update unless that is part of the corruption. If it is you're probably going to be out of luck.
