VMR9 Overlay Problem?

Hi all,

I searched the threads and saw hints of this problem, but no solutions.
I have my video configured to clone the monitor to my HD TV and use the HD TV as the full screen device. I want to use sageTV as a PVR.

When I'm not in full screen mode, all is well.
When I'm in full screen mode on the TV, but am not in full screen mode on the monitor, all is well (except that I don't get overlays on the HD TV).
HOWEVER, when I'm in full screen mode on both (so that overlays and video both display on the TV), my HD TV flickers between the overlay alone, and 2 different full screen sizes (about 10% different). When there's no overlay, it flickers between 2 full screen sizes. It's unwatchable. And, without this, I have to go to my computer to do anything that requires the interface (to see the overlay).

Sometimes, I can reboot and get it working for a while. But, every time that I jump forwards or backwards (around commercials) it starts to have the flicker problem when it 1st repaints then it steadies.

I have the overlay set to VMR9 (I don't have a VMR7 option).
I have the latest directx, hauppauge drivers, SageTV, and video drivers.
I've tried different decoders and that makes no difference.
It does this with either SVideo or DVI-D output.
My system in my signature -- happy to provide more info as needed.
(Not using SLI when in this mode).

Any clues as to where my problem is and how to fix it?
