Remove padding on back to back recordings on a per favorite basis?

I have many times where I'll record two favorites back to back...each will have pre and post show padding. I prefer to have the padding because the shows aren't exactly on time....and many times the favorites are not scheduled back to back and the padding works well. I have several tuners so if I chose to NOT remove padding it should spread the recordings out over the tuners. However, I have some favorites that are back to back that only one tuner (with STB) can record where I don't want to remove padding.

Is there a way to select "remove padding on back to back favorites" for selected favorites? Can this be another setting on the favorites menu?
