It didn't come with a piece of paper with the activation code? I don't have one so I wouldn't know... it's just that they usually include stuff like that in the box.

I didn't need to install the PureVideo because I already own it but there is a product activation sticker on the back of the CD sleeve the driver CD came in and I'm guessing that is what you are looking for.

Well, got the tuner setup, upgraded to Sage 4.1.14 and using the MCE remote that came with the card. Would be awesome if Sage makes use of the IR Blasters with it as well, otherwise I'm stuck with the good ole actsys.

Back to my problem with the Decoder:
When I ordered the card, it sent me to the link for the d/l of the decoder, thats what I tried to use first, but it didnt like my information I was typing in, as I didnt buy it "alone". So I tried to install it from the CD and it asked for activation key AND the product code that is on the sleeve. I enter that information and it says some of the information I entered has an invalid length. I know I entered it correctly, anyone else have this issue?

Also pertaining to the decoder, its the bronze version, so only stereo sound support. I currently have full 5.1 with cyberlink, is the PureVideo Decoder actually worth the purchase of the better version, or should i just stick with CyberLink?

If you have your computer hooked up using an optical connector or digital coax, then you can just set the sound to SPDIF. That way, if the source has 5.1, you get 5.1.

I have the same issue. Tried it on another PC also same issue. I wonder if it is because I am NOT installing on MCE? Let me know if you solve the issue. I haven't had time to pursue it.

For those having problems installing the decoder on the included CD. Are you running the main setup application, or trying to directly run the decoder install? I received an "Invalid length" error when trying to directly run the decoder install. Once I tried the main setup program, it worked fine.

Well I attempted to reinstall the 2nd card today & bad news.. I could not get 2 cards to function in the same machine. Sage will allow me to set them up, But with 2 cards installed, only the 1st card works. The tuners on the 2nd card come back with an error in Sage that there is a problem with the device. But on the plus side, by using the Nvidia as my primary tuner I was able to reinstall my 500 & am no longer getting the stuttering behavior, So I'm up to 4 tuners !!

So I suppose I'll send the other Nvidia Card back... Too Bad too, because I really Love the picture quality.

Well, The 500 did not stay working for long... after a few days it began exibiting badly degraded / scrambeled video & broken audio on both tuners, so I had to pull it out... Now I'll need to find 2 tuners to replace it. Seeing as I only have 1 PCI slot left I suppose I'll just get 2 USB2 Tuners..
Bruce

I'll test that later tonight....hell, in 2 minutes I was running from the decoder folder...will report back.

EDIT: Ran using the main setup app and it worked fine...thanks for the help.

I've amended my previous post above...

It now appears that the Nvidia & 500 cards "don't get along well"

Working Excellent in V5!! The Picture on this card is BEAUTIFUL, Channel changes are quick & blessedly Silent!!... As I said in my previous post tho, It does not seem to get along well with the Hauppauge 500, (at least not on my Gigabyte GA-K8-NF9) I also tried putting my 150 back in but was greeted by the nasty stuttering every time we changed channels using that tuner, So I purchased 2 Wintv-PVR-USB2 tuners & they are performing great with the Nvidia DualTV. So we are finally back up to 4 tuners!!!

I still have a minor Audio issue (can't get DTS to passthrough my realtek AC97 onboard SPDIF) But I have a Chaintech AV710 on its way that will hopefully resolve that !!

Just to let you know I have received my second card and I am having the same issues that was posted earlier in this thread. Both cards show up fine in device manager with 2 different IRQs. One card works in Sage but the other card throws an error and I can actually lock up Sage with it. Second card shows up 4 times in video sources. Twice as #2 (which it should) and twice as YUV #2 (don't think it should). I'll send an email to support.

Gerry

EDIT: Email with screen cap and error log sent.

I guess I've got to go back and load MCE on a machine around here. Supposedly 2 tuners work fine in MCE. Although I haven't seen anyone document it in any forum.
