occasional crash when going from/to fullscreen
I'm using fullscreen exclusive because the 6600GT video card I use has bad tearing if I don't (well known issue with the card).
Every so often if I drop out of fullscreen, especially if I'm recording, the sage window goes black and CPU usage goes to 100%. Sometimes, going the other way, sage just dissappears. Is this a bug? |

I think I've pinned it down to when it happens. It's not occasional at all. In normal usage, once I've gotten sage working, it'll hang everytime I exit fullscreen.
Once I've played back any video, whether it be live TV or an avi file, the video decoder remains active. If I exit fullscreen, the thing hangs. Is there a way to force the decoder to quit after I've done wathcing something. Cheers, Phill |

I think you can use the Stop command.

One workaround is to set sage to always start in Full Screen mode. Then to make the transition from regular to full just quit Sage and restart it (since it will start in full screen mode). It's a bit of a hassle but it beats 'the 100% cpu trying to get to the taskmanager to kill sage while sage is in FSE and constantly forcing its way to the front' drill.
To do this set the Sage option 'Load At Windows Startup' to full screen and use the -startup parameter when starting Sage. peace . . . Quote:
