Strange Volume Control Problem

I'm running SageTV 4.1 (The latest release, but not beta) and I have a weird problem where I cannot see the volume meter or indicator in the default sage3.stv. Turning the volume up or down works fine. I even see a blue box thats probably supposed to contain the volume meter or indicator...but it is blank and I don't see what level the volume is. Nor do I see any change when I turn the volume up or down. I've tried loading other STV's and the volume indicator shows up fine and I do see the changes, but with the default stv that sage comes with it doesn't seem to work. Is there anything I can do to get this working? Has anyone seen this? I tried some searches in the forum, but I guess the volume, control, and/or indicator words are not unique enough.

Any help would be appreciated.

You should be using SageTV3.XML. Look and make sure you choose that one. (Unless it was a typo.)

RE: trying to use SageTV.xml

When I try to switch back to the SageTV.xml, via the Advanced menu in detailed setup, I only see SageTV.stv, not SageTV.xml.

You'll have to edit the properties file, then, because the older .stv versions were used before .xml was a valid STV file format, so the .stv files can't see .xml files.

Or, you could open Studio (Ctrl+Shift+F12) and load a new STV via File -> Open.
