Basic Question - Red Rec Icon

Hello - I read the manual and it says the red circle icon means that the recording is either a manual, live tv or intelligent recording. I have some movies that do not have any icons and I don't understand why. I would think they are manual recordings. I can't see the difference between those with and without the red circle. I have intelligent recording turned off.

All shows are marked with a type of red circle for upcoming recordings, but existing recordings are only marked if they are a fav or manual recording. The ones with no red circle probably had their manual recording status cleared -- there is probably no red outline around the recording either.

I guess I'm confused. I'm referring to existing recordings. If the manual recording was cleared then how did it record? Is it possible I was experimenting and did something while it was recording the show?

You can turn on and OFF the manual recording status of a recording by pressing the RECORD button on your remote (or the correct keyboard sequence for record on your keyboard - mine is cntl-y).
