I knew I saw this question somewhere, but couldn't find it again to post info...
The Placeshifter cannot use an IR receiver directly, so in order to control it with a remote, you would have to use some other software to control the IR receiver, perhaps such as Girder or HIP. Then, you would configure that program to send keystrokes to the Placeshifter window. (The PS client does not recognize command event numbers sent via Windows messages.) - Andy

HIP works great, and it's free. Thanks for the tip.

HIP
I have the streamzap remote and downloaded HIP. No idea how to configure this to work with the streamzap software and SageTV Placeshifter. Which input device, etc should I use? Any other tips is greatly appreciated.
Thanx. |
