Placeshifting client question

I tried out the placeshifting client last night and it worked pretty slick. My question is that in the Linux OEM forum there was talk that a linux placeshifting client was going to be available at some point...will be be able to use the Windows based SageTV server or do you need to pair Linux SageTV server with Linux placeshifting client?

The Placeshifter system is platform agnostic so any SageTV server can work with any SageTV Placeshifter client regardless of what OS either of them are running on.

There's already the pure java version so you can get the UI on the Mac...what....do you want video too? Now you don't think it'd be that hard for us to do it do you.....

You know. The good folks at work are giving me a new Palm Treo tomorrow.... I think it runs some kind of Java..

Have you guys looked at a possible WIndows Mobile version? That would be a total iPod killer.
