Delete Priority Behaviour
The most bizarre thing happened recently; two shows from a non watched favourite, only a week old, were both deleted instead of IRs and other watched favourites...Somehow, it suddenly was near the bottom of the list in the recordings dir, and I figured I'd watch it to see if it would in fact be deleted 1st, as the order suggested. And this morning, I found both of them gone. It may have occured right after I upgraded from 4.1.3 to 5.0, I can't recall...but chances are....
There is another favourite near the bottom, which I bet will also get completely deleted, despite the fact that it shouldn't. The remainder of the favourites seem to be listed in the correct order at the top. Any suggestions? Hopefuly it's a one time artifact from the upgrade??? I fully rely on autodelete for everything, and this was disconcerting.

I'm also seeing a good number of unwatched favorites being deleted, when there are watched shows in the same favorite that are kept. Haven't checked the manual yet to see if this is "normal behaviour", but it certainly seems abnormal to me.

One thing I can think of is if you have a favorite with a limited number of shows that it is allowed to keep, it could delete its own shows to make room for another one once that max # is reached.
Are the shows really favorites? If they don't have a white border around them, then they really aren't covered by any of your Favorites. They could have a similar, but not the same, name or they could be on a different channel from what the Fav is allowed to record. If that isn't what is happening, try turning on debug logging & send the log to SageTV after it happens. - Andy

Unfortunately, I'm sure what happened to me shouldn't have (both were clearly marked as favourites and not watched, and not marked don't like, and the max number of shows to keep was ALL). The reason I noticed the problem was the folder for the shows was actually BELOW most of the IRs in the listing, yet had no watched items. BUT, after deleting a few shows incorrectly, it seems to be working fine now. This was the 1st time that sort of thing had occured in a year of using sage. If it re-occurs, I will definitely follow up.

Deleting non-Watched
I am seeing this as well (using version 4). The delete of shows that have not been watched, when there are plenty of watched shows to be deleted first. The category and show group do not have a limit number on them.
I wonder if it is using recording date over the watched date by accident. The recordings it deleted were quite old.
