Client / Server question?

For those of you who run sage on a server somewhere in another room or closet away from your main viewing room(s). Do you use power management like Bios S3 suspend and windows power management on the server? If you don't then your server must be running your HDD and fans 24/7, but if you use power management on the server, and you also use it on the clients as well, is there any problem with waking up he server remotely?
