Also, if it matters, on every beta build, since the first, I have simply re-selected my STV that has all my stvi imports in it. Have not re-imported everything (movietimes, itv).
I see the blood bath too. This is on .17 no imports fresh 6.3 install. Running FSE, VMR9

Default theme on install. It doesn't bother me though. Running java 1.6 fresh os install mce.

Can you guys check if disabling FSE / VMR9 makes any difference ? I know it also happens with overlay, but it's still worth a try

Actually, the thing I am going to check is to see if it still happens since I changed the property to not disable FSE when clicked off. That was screwing up my HDTV viewing as well.

B

disable_fse_on_focus_lost=false

P.S. I just noticed headless mode in the file. What is that? PM is fine since OT.

LOL, isn't it funny how one person can bring out all the skelotons from the closet?

I'm using that rather pointy, sharp theme, that no one likes to talk about. Perhaps that is why "Stopped" is bleeding, he got sliced and diced by my theme?

Anyway, on a more serious note, I'm using VMR9, Java 6 (official), and .17 of SageTV.

I seemed to notice it appear around .15 or .16. I didn't upgrade Java to 6 until this weekend, so I know it wasn't that. I'm running service mode, and try to do the hokie pokie (sp?) when I start SageTV, all while standing on my hands and juggling at the same time.

Oh, and I'm not using FSE.

Some examples would include "Gillette Fusion" or "Norelco" etc

I was part of that whole theme fiasco a few months back. If I recall correctly, it was actually the 3DMP theme that caused all the commotion. When it was removed, the 'pointy, sharp theme' for some reason got removed as well. I consider it collateral damage. I guess that's what we get for living on the razor's edge, eh?

Wait, what are we hunting, Snipes? I think you use a paper bag and a stick...

Geogecko,

While you're at it, could you pick up a left handed smoke shifter for me as well? Thanks!

I was sent to find one once when I was a lowly tenderfoot. Only 2 hours and about 20 neighboring campsites later did they finally let me off the hook. It's in the same vein as Snipe hunting.

Another user (rickgillyon) has written a script that will do this. Now if I could just get SageMC to run the script automatically on each file.
Rickgillyon just responded that the only thing required is the following line to execute a quick stream fix(other than being a licensed VideoRedo user):

cscript //nologo "C:\Program Files\VideoReDoPlus\vp.vbs" source target /t1

Could this be implemented in SageMC? Obviously the target would ultimately overwirte the source prior to beginning the transcoding process.

Sorry, I don't know much about VB scripts. Is the above script able to produce the cleaned target file with preserving the original file name ? The Sage transcoding API takes a MediaFile (not a filename) as a parameter, so I assume the filename has to remain the same ...

Very strange crashing problem (coverart corrupt?)

Can a coverart file get corrupted, and could it cause Sage to crash when you get to that show in the Video library? I've been having crashes on one of my Genre's, and found that if I delete the .my file and the coverart that IMDB downloaded, that it stopped the crashing. Its not a MC issue, because I duplicated it in the default STV, but was definitely related to the image or .my file. Here is the log file entry associated with one of the files:

Code:
Mon 12/18 19:59:26.690 UI Comp refreshing due to resource load finished of: MediaFile[id=1872505 A[1872508,1872506,"Def Jams How to Be a Player",0@0924.12:46,93] host=sage encodedBy= format=MPEG2-TS 1:33:45 13455 kbps [#0 Video[MPEG2-Video 29.97003 fps 1920x1080 16:9 18000 kbps progressive]#1 Audio[AC3 48000 Hz 6 channels 384 kbps idx=1 id=14]] \\LIBRARY\Import6\Def Jams How to Be a Player.ts, Seg0[Sun 9/24 12:46:53.789-Sun 9/24 14:20:39.875]]

From that, it appears that it was the cover art being bad, which caused a DX render error... Quite strange, and I really didnt know where to go with this post. Once the images were erased, sage went ahead and grabbed a frame for its own image, and everything is fine.

Ugh, so I just re-ran the IMDB lookup to get the cover art again, and as soon as it saved, Sage crashed with this in the log file:

Wow, guess that last post by me was a serious buzz kill! That or else everyone is off playing with V6.0 release!

Or working on some other release ...

Ok, first of all I would try to narrow it down to either cover art or .my file. I personall don't think it can be the .my file, since SageMC only reads the text and displays it instead of the database info, not much that can go wrong here (also, the default STV doesn't read those files, right ?)

If you find it's really the cover art, and can even reproduce it with it, I would send it to support along with the log files. I think I have read about similar crashes with corrupt thumbnails in other threads ...
