I'm using 6.3.2c with SageTV 6.1.4. On the buttons that don't use the transparent buttons I can't read the text of the selected button. Is there something I've got configured wrong?

Most of my plugins have the same problem. Something was updated in 6.1.4 that makes this happen on Item widgets when they don't have a UI chain. Adding an action widget with the Item Widget name in quotes and a Text widget below has worked for me so far. Actually glad to see it wasn't just me but I realize this isn't something you guys want to fix yourself but I thought I would post my fix if it helps flachbar on this problem.

No sound on some imported videos

Hey guys,
I have a new problem. All of a sudden I am not getting sound on my imported videos.
None are working - AVI's, Video_TS, MPG
MP4's are working

Very strange, any ideas?

Thanks in advance.
Dana

I think there is an open issue with 6.1.4 and volume. However, your sig says you're running a beta of 6.0.. correct?

Technazz, this is exactly what's happening. I'll give that a try

EDIT: Ahh, I see there isn't really a resolution for it yet. I'll start posting over there though.

change background?

I was wondering how you can change just the background in sagemc? I thought it would be as simple as copying over a new background.png to the images folder but when I do that I get weird overlay issues? Not sure why though because it seems like it should just work. FWIW-I was just trying to copy the new default v3 background over the black itv background. Are there more files I need to change?
Thanks,
Juc

If you copy over the old background file, then you will have to restart sage for it to properly take effect (sage caches image files). You can also just point to the alternate background file in its original location in the last option under 'Visual' in the SageMC Options menu.

Aloha,
Mike

Easy to find out: load up the default STV and check if it is the same... How many songs do you have in your library ?

I recently re-installed Sage to a new server, which also involved re-installing SageMC. Its working fine, but I am now seeing some stuff I wasn't before. Every recording has a colored dot or button next to it with a number in it, on the "My TV" screen and "Recorded TV". I used to see buttons when you went to the detailed info, such as a red dot for a manual recording,a "1" for first run, double red dot for a favorite, but I really don't like seeing a dot for every show when listing shows that have been recorded... Hopefully this is something easy to change/disable that I don't see. I do remember seeing an option to disable this for the encoder card the show used, but that seems to be what the "blue/blueish" dot is indicating...

This happened sometime during an update. I also noticed this. You can change the settings in the SageMC Options, Icons section, then Icon Options. This brings up a screen that lets you pick where the icons show up.

Well, I did disable them, since I have no idea what the given icons mean. Is this documented somewhere? Also, I still have a yellow "dot", with either a 1 or 2 in it. This isn't on the setup screen, could someone tell me what this indicates, and if there is another way to disable it?

I haven't used the default icons in a while, but I'm pretty sure the yellow icons with numbers represent that the program is now recording and the number is which tuner it is using. The other icons with numbers tell you which tuner was used for completed recordings. I use this feature all the time now. It makes it easy to tell which shows were recorded using my HDHR. I believe there is a separate option to go back to the standard 'now recording' icon.

Aloha,
Mike

Ah ok, thanks. Since I have two identical encoders, and no HD, I couldn't really care about that. I don't mind the yellow dot for "recording now", although I can't read the number in the yellow dot anyway. (maybe an MVP thing)

Click and focus sounds on server

For some reason, no matter what I do, I can't get the sounds to work on the server. I have sounds enabled in SageMC options and everything else works sound-wise, but I can't seem to figure out what's going on. Any ideas?

Thanks for the response dirk, I will load the default UI and test the music at some point today.

I have 181 full albums on the server, song count @2500.
