Has anyone switched their Windows platform to Linux? Any feedback or insights on the performance and reliability of the Linux platform? Would my hardware be supported?
Thanks, Rob

Limited Linux OEM experience.
I've only been running Linux for a short period. I have a dedicated server W/mediaMVP. I highly recommend the mediaMVP with Linux. I have no complaints. Before I had Windows XP w/MediaMVP and found video sent from Windows-> MediaMVP choppy. Windows is a fatter operating system. Linux version is not for everyone, because of the learning curve. The Sagetv Step-by-step instructions worked great for me. I had one problem with my motherboard, but recieved help through this forum. I hope that helps |
