Newbie questions regarding which bundle to purchase (I have DirecTV).

Sorry in advance for the newbie-level questions...

I am researching what the best solution is for me to be able to watch & record TV in my upstairs office. I have a non-HD DirecTV subscription and I will probably be buying one of the SageTV bundles based on the advice I get here.

1) Do I need a satellite receiver (set-top box?) to use one of the SageTV bundles? If not, are there any advantages to incorporating one in my system?

2) Does DirecTV supply OTA HD content in their signal. If I purchase the SageTV HD Media Center will I be able to watch and record in HD, or will I need to subscribe to DirecTV's HD offering?

3) If it turns out that my PC doesn't have any free PCI slots (I'm at work right now), is there a recommended external solution that also does OTA HD?

HD would be a "nice to have" option for me but is not necessary, as I do not currently have an HDTV in the house.
