Audio problems

I am using Sage version 5 with a pvr-150 in a dell 8400 with xp pro. It has a built in soundmax audio card. I had a heck of time getting audio in sage. I also had same problem a few months ago when i ran the trial. So figured I would format and start with a clean machine, same audio problems!! I got it to work on the first recording, then the 2 after that(scheduled) had no audio. Fired up live tv and the audio was there?? any ideas what it could be?

First, you did not describe your setup in any detail. I'm assuming you just have one computer running Sage (so there is no SageClient and Sage Server). I don't know if you are using coax, RCA, Svideo and a cable box or not. If you are going through a cable box, with SVideo or RCA, do you have the sound on the cable box going into the Audio In on the PVR 150? If you have Coax, just one computer, you MIGHT try plugging the Sound out from your line out on your sound card to the Line In on the PVR150. I'm not sure if it needs it but I know the ATI's definitely do. It all depends on your setup.

Try those suggestions and describe your setup. Also, double click on the volume icon on the task bar and check your LineIn and make sure it is not muted. Check the Recording settings also after double clicking on the Vol icon and see what might be muted that maybe should not be.

audio

This is an intermittent problem. Sometimes i get sound sometimes i don't.. Without rebooting or shutting down, just random sound- no sound... If i get no sound in Sage i can launch any other app in windows and sound works fine, even the Hauppaugge wintv app.
