Unhappy DiVX Files and Fast Forwarding

I've created some DiVX files (using Handbrake for Mac) of some DVD movies and I can get them to play just fine in SageTV, but for some reason I can't rewind or fast forward these files during playback.

I can fast forward and rewind just fine through WMP and VLC, but when I attempt to fast forward or rewind through SageTV it just returns me to the Video Library menu.

Has anybody else experienced this type of issue with DiVX/MPEG4 files, or does anybody have any suggestions as to how I might remedy this issue?

Thanks in advance!

Yes, I have experienced the exact same problem with Handbrake-encoded files played on Sage (If I recall correctly the files play properly in WMP). The timeline will erroneously report zero duration, so pressing FF ends the movie.

I fix this by re-encoding the audio track only with ffmpeg or D-Vision 3. They both have options to re-encode audio with video passthrough. Doesn't take much time and fixes the problem.
