ATI Rage XL SVGA PCI 8 meg enough?

ATI Rage XL SVGA PCI video controller with 8 MB of video memory is what my Supermicro p3tdlr has onboard. Its a fantastic duallie board and I'm really enjoying getting everything setup on it but I'm wondering if I need to add in a pci video card. I'm short on pci slots in this system with just 2 pci and 2 pci-x. Anyone have experience with using this video card for kde\gnome and sage?

This box isn't a box I watch TV on but I'd like to be able to access the Sage menus on it.

It should be fine if it is supported by Xorg.

Ok, i'll check xorg for support. Would it be an out of the box type thing or are there going to be additional requirements? This is a very old video card.
