live TV does not work, please help in config

hello,

Could you please help me in getting the live TV to work. Currently, I have a black screen display for all channels.

I have a Hauppauge PVR USB2 tuner (PAL), and this works well when looking TV with the winTV software provided by hauppauge.
I guess the problem is a config problem in SageTv.

When looking at the temp mpeg file created by SageTv, I can read them into the MS Media Player, so I guess the problem is rendering the video, not getting the video stream from the tuner...

I tried to change the MPEG decoders and other video options, but nothing seem to work.
In the setup wizzard there is a test with 'custom', and this always fails...

My video card is a nVidia GeForce 64Mb,
CPU AMD Athlon XP 1700,
1Gb RAM
Win XP

If you have any hint or idea on how to configure the Sage Tv for this hardware, please help me
thank you

Vincent

Thanks,
I will have a try.
Do you mean I will see the 'pure video decoder' in the list of decoders inside the SageTv config ?

okay,
it still does not work...

I installed the Nvidia decoder, and rebooted
changed setup in audio/video config to select the nvidia decoder
The live TV is still black and silent...
I tried various settings...

If I startthe winTVapplication, SageTvreturns adriver error.I guess this is because both try to capture the same data...when I close Sage, the winTV works well...

something more: when I'm into the channels settings in Sage, there is a 'View' button. If I click on it, i have a error messge (in french, saying)Error -20: no mediaplayer can read a file while it is being recorded
So I tried to change the recording format of the tuner, this was VCD, I set it to MPEG2. Not better display in SageTv...
indeed,I changed the settings of winTV but I dont know if this will change the settings of the tuner...

any idea?
vincent

IT WORKS !

I finally managed to get LiveTV to work
I had to uninstall the SageTv and PVR drivers
reboot, Install last PVR drivers, last NVidia drivers, then SageTv

So the problem was either a corrupted driver for the nvidia or a communication problem between the nvidia card and the SageTv... don't know

I still have some performance problems, but I guess this relates to the quality settings.
I also need to setup the xmltv for the belgium programs...
