Two Tuner Cards - How do I Choose Main for TV?

Hello,

I have two tuner cards, one is much better quality than the other.

How can I define the software to use the better card as the main card? When I say main card, I mean the card which is used for Live TV when nothing is being recorded etc.

The setting you want is encoder_merit and can be found in sage.properties. The higher the number, the higher the preference. Set your best card at 1 and your lesser card at 0. However, the best card gets used first, for recording or LiveTV(which is considered a recording as well). So, if you are recording something and then want to watch LiveTV, you will watch liveTV on the lesser card since the currently recorded show will have already taken the prefered card, #1, your best card.
