SageTV_5 support --- > VBOX CAT'S EYE 164E ?

Anyone know if SageTV is going to support the VBOX CAT'S EYE 164E? I'm in need of a good HD and SD tuner to complete my newly built HTPC. If Sage is going to support the VBOX CAT'S EYE 164E card than I will wait for it.

Thanks!

I certainly hope they do. I need another tuner (or 2) and I have an open pci-e slot just begging to get filled up. I did notice that apparently this card is a 'software' based encoder, however. I hope it doesn't cause too much of a performance hit.

All ATSC cards are pretty much software cards since all they do is grab an Mpeg2 stream. There is no reason to encode it. So I don't think you need to worry about a performance hit.
