Customization Request - Closed Caption

Would any of you talented Studio coders be willing to create a stvi that would implement the "not officially supported" Closed Caption feature that works with PVR-250 and 350 tuners?

I have it working on my system the way that SageTV describes in Appendix K in the user manual... however it is awkward to turn on and off the way that it is used.

Can someone just make a customization where when you hit the mute button, the Closed Caption kicks in automatically?

Maybe not everyone is looking for the same feature since I believe that it is only supported by Sage on these 2 cards. I hear MCE supports this feature on just about any card and in the way I wish Sage would.

Any thoughts?

I've managed to get CC set up as described in another thread and in the manual. However, I have yet to see CC show up on the screen as touted. The most I've managed to see is a translucent green box where the text should be. It's probably something I'm not doing right and I haven't had time to play with it much.

A program which gives CC capabilities to Sage would put Sage over the top. It's my one and only gripe with this program.

I find that sometimew when I turn it on nothing even appears. It take a restart of the video for it to work on mine.
