Unhappy Plextor PX-M402U audio sync problem

I have just purchased a M402U encoder. It works great with the Plextor GoCap utility, all recording have perfect sync. When I set up SageTV I get the audio 3 to 10 seconds behind the video - and it seems to get worse as the recording goes on! Can anyone help me out?

I have a 2.8 GHZ pentium 4, 1 gig ram, windows xp pro, driver 2.0.1.6

Thanks!

I've got the same Plextor and have not had problems. Maybe try changing the Decoder in Sage to Nvidia, if you have it, or another decoder other than the default?

I am still very new to SageTV. Where is this setting to change the decoder?

My concern is that the problem is in the encoding. I save the video and play back using media player and there is the audio gap. When I record using GOCap there is no gap.

It's under detailed setup, in the audio/video section. You change the audio and video mpeg decoders.
