Dark Picture with SageTV MVP

I guess I should've read forums about this product first...

Ok, so my MVP arrived today... I upgraded SageTV to the latest version and then plugged in the MVP. The picture is very dark and thus very poor quality. Compared to video out from my PVR-350, and the difference is literally night and day.

I've read through the forums, and there seemed quite a bit of discussion about it, but discussion ended months ago without a solution. I'm hoping the lack of discussion means someone found a solution somewhere?

So now I have to revert back to using the video out from PVR-350 (which has been buggy and locks up since Sage2.0 ie EOF bug). PVR-350 isn't perfect, but at least it has good picture quality.
