SageTV 5.0 Not Seeing Media Center Remote

I just got the MCE Remote by microsoft since I read that 5.0 supports it. I plugged in the IR Receiver into a USB port and started up Sage to see how it worked. I went into Detailed Setup -> Commands and looked to for the MCE remote but it wasn't there. I set it to the Hauppauge 45 button option that was there and the channel number buttons worked, but not the full functionality that Sage 5.0 is supposed to provide.

At first I was using SageMC so I reloaded the original STV but still nothing. Anyone have any idea why Sage isn't recognizing that I have the MCE Remote plugged in? Thanks!

Did you install the Microsoft drivers that are required for that remote receiver? It is not plug&play.

Make sure you are switching back to SageTV3.xml, not the older .stv version.

I'm almost certain it's supposed to be plug and play. I have searched everywhere for drivers and install software and there is NOTHING. I dont know how else I can "install" the MCE Remote other than just plugging in the IR Receiver. btw I'm using XP Pro. Thanks

Installation instructions for the MCE remote can be found here.

It's definetly not plug and play with XP home. I don't remember about XP Pro. For Home I know you have to extract them like the link BobPhoenix posted described.

You can also download an MCE update and get the files out of it. There is a thread on the forum describing how to do it, but I don't have time to look for it at the moment.
