Sage MVP no picture

I just got my Sage Media Extender from USA (NTSC ??).

I live in Europe (Denmark - PAL TV).

I installed SageTV 5.0.4 with license for the SageTV Media Extender.

Seems to work fine to start with.

I am able to control the server via the Extender. I am able to see the menu's and listen to MP3 files and watch pictures. BUT I am not able to see TV or Videos. ONLY the sound is on.

The screen is black and there is also the OSD.
My TV is able to accept NTSC (otherwise I could not see the menus and pictures).

At my PC where I installed SageTV , there is no problem watching TV or videos.

I disabled Windows Firewall with no luck.


Hope someone has a solution.

Did you select PAL or NTSC in the the video setup? There might be some issues if you select PAL on a NTSC unit.

No, no matter what system I choose (PAL or NTSC) I end up with only sound and On-Screen-Display.

My TV is able to accept PAL,SECAM and NTSC.

Basically I have exactly the same problem with the same setup.

I see you have had no solutions from Sage regarding this. Have you found a solution yourself yet?

Thank You, that solved my problem.

Now I have picture (PAL).
